Krakow has a fascinating history and today is a leading cultural and historic centre of Europe. On
this holiday, we include a guided walking tour of the Old Town of Krakow with entrance to St.
Mary’s Church. We also include an excursion to Auschwitz where you can learn about Poland’s
history, which now services as a place to remember those who lost their lives there during World
War II. We also take a half day excursion to the Wieliczka Mine, established at the turn of the 18th
and 19th centuries.

Day 1 – Wednesday 06 May 2026
Fly Dublin-Krakow. Flight departs Dublin at 17:05 and arrives Krakow 20:55
(please note that flight times are subject to airlines discretion and outside the control of IFC. Final
flight times will be confirmed approximately two weeks prior to travel.) If the airline changes flight
time, you will automatically be moved to the new departure time on both the outbound and return
flight.
On arrival in Krakow, meet your local guide and transfer to the 4* Vienna House by Wyndham
Andel’s Hotel where you are booked for four-nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
Krakow’s UNESCO-listed Old Town is an architectural gem and the best way to explore is on foot.
See the main city highlights including the Marketplace, the historic Cloth Hall, Wawel Castle
(exterior view). Visit the medieval St. Mary’s Basilica (interior visit) with its wooden altarpiece
carved by Veit Stoss.

Day 2 – Thursday 07 May 2026
Explore Krakow on a walking tour with your local guide, followed by lunch.
Visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, to see the underground world of the oldest salt mine in Europe with
its beautifully carved chambers, chapels and an underground lake: all made in salt. The Wieliczka
mine is often referred to as “the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland”. In 1978 it was placed on
the original UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Day 3 – Friday 08 May 2026
Excursion to Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial. Auschwitz-Birkenau is today both a both
a symbol of human suffering and a witness to the physical and emotional suffering endured during
the Holocaust. Learn about the history of the largest concentration camp from WWII with a
professional licensed guide.
Remainder of day at leisure.
Day 4 – Sunday 09 May 2026
Free day at leisure to enjoy Krakow.
This evening, enjoy a pre-concert dinner. After dinner, meet your local guide for transfer to the
Tauron Arena for an evening with Andre Rieu in concert. At the end of the evening, private coach
transfer back to hotel.

Day 5 – Sunday 10 May 2026
Today, you have the morning free in Krakow for independent sightseeing.
In the early afternoon, meet your local guide for coach transfer to airport for return flight.
Flight departs Krakow at 17:05 and arrives Dublin 19:05
