Enjoy an amazing holiday with us to two of South America’s most vibrant countries on this fantastic guided holiday. Over 13-nights, we’ll explore the great sites and hidden gems of Brazil and Argentina, including tropical rainforests, thrilling waterfalls, and passionate tangos. In Brazil, we’ll see the famous giant statue of Christ the Redeemer before taking a cable car up the Sugar Loaf, and enjoying a tour of historic Rio de Janeiro. Moving on to Argentina, we’ll witness traditional dance, music, and awe inspiring horseback skills on a full day excursion to a typical Argentinian farmhouse. We’ll also relax on a cruise along the Parana River and see the sites of Buenos Aires on a guided tour, before enjoying a mesmerising tango show with a delicious dinner.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Travel To Brazil):

Depart for Rio de Janeiro.

Day 2 (Welcome To Rio!):

We have arrived! We meet our local representative in the arrivals area of airport before transferring to our hotel.

Enjoy the remainder of the day relaxing at the hotel or exploring the local area. Charge up the camera batteries for tomorrow’s adventure!

Day 3 (Discover Rio De Janeiro):

Discover the beauty of Rio’s beaches on our panoramic drive to Sugar Loaf Mountains; after all, Rio is famous for its beaches! We drive through some of the oldest parts of Rio with its cobbled streets, and colonial style buildings, passing the Opera House, the unique church ibn Gloria and the famous Aqueduct – Lapa Arches.

All abroad! We have the cable car ride up Sugar Loaf Mountain and fall in love with the panoramic views. At the top we take in beauty that Rio has to offer from above: beaches, skyscrapers, and lush rainforest, before we descend.

Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Discover more of Rio taking in the local sites, beautiful beaches or relax and unwind at the hotel. Our guide will be happy to recommend places of interest for independent sightseeing.

Day 4 (Uncover Corcovado Mountain):

Let’s see more of Rio! On our half day tour, we explore the hunch backed Corcovado Mountain. We make our way to the Cogwheel rail station passing traditional and beautiful historic mansions before boarding the train.

The summit of Corcovado is reached in approximately 20 minutes, passing through thick vegetation that is home to butterflies and birds with views of Ipanema beach below.

Make sure to wear comfortable and sturdy shoes, we have some walking to do! We climb the steps up to the 122-foot-tall iconic Christ statue with the city at his feet. Take in the breath-taking view as we look down from 2,300 feet at the splendour of Rio and the vast Atlantic Ocean!

In the evening, we experience Rio by night on a panoramic tour, passing downtown Rio with all its dazzling lights. We end on our evening with a typical Brazilian churrasco dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5 (Uncover Rio At Leisure):
Today, is free to discover more of Rio. Take time out for shopping in one of the large city shopping malls, soak up the atmosphere at the world-famous Copacabana beach or savour some of the local Brazilian delicacies at a cafe while watching the world go by. Our local guide will offer suggestions on how to make the most of our last day in Rio.
Day 6 (Flight To Iguazu Falls):
Today we say a fond farewell to Rio we take an internal morning flight to Iguazu. We meet our local representative in Iguazu for a fascinating half-day walking tour of the Brazilian side of the thundering Iguazu Falls.
Slip on some comfortable walking shoes and enjoy a leisurely 1.5km walk taking in the spectacular panoramic views along the way of this famous UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing in this wonderful tropical setting, breathing in its unique atmosphere.

Day 7 (See More Of Iguazu Falls):

Camera ready! Fall in love with the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, as we take another leisurely walk along a path with plenty of photo opportunities, and views of the Brazilian side of the falls. Watch in wonder as we stare down at millions of litres of water crashing over the rocks below. Surrounded by lush jungle and dense forest, there is nowhere in the would quite like these beautiful falls.

Day 8 (Flight To Buenos Aires, Argentina):

W e say a fond farewell to Brazil and hello to Buenos Aires! We depart for our morning flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina. On arrival, we meet our local representative and transfer to our hotel.

Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, while we get to know the sights and sounds of this wonderful city soaked in culture, with its rich historical sites, and world class shopping.

Day 9 (Experience Buenos Aires):

Today, we uncover this fascinating city on a morning guided tour of Buenos Aires. Start at the historical centre; stopping at Plaza de Mayo to see many famous landmarks; including the Government House, home to the balcony from which Eva Peron addressed the masses. We experience more oh historical Buenos Aires including, the Cabilo and the Cathedral, the magnificent National Congress Palace, the Obelisk the Recoleta area and the famous cemetery and more.

Spend time further exploring after our city tour. Shop for fine leather goods and local souvenirs to take home. Take a seat in a street side cafe-bar, sample a glass of full-bodied Argentinian wine and become immersed in the Buenos Aires lifestyle.

Day 10 (Tigre & Cruise Along Parana River Delta):

See more on a half-day tour of the quaint and authentic town of Tigre, before taking a cruise along the delta of the Parana River. The many sailing clubs, restaurants, and weekend homes make this a popular spot, and its mains highlights are the attractive houses and old residences on stilts that are typical of the area. It is here that we get a real sense and atmosphere of the people of Buenos Aires.

In the afternoon we return to our hotel; the rest of our day is at leisure.

Day 11 (Gaucho Ranch Excursion):

We venture into the countryside for a visit to a typical Argentinean farmhouse. We enjoy welcome drinks and empanadas on arrival before exploring the estate, with the option of taking a ride in a house drawn carriage, and the chance to breathe in the fresh air of the Argentine countryside.

Taste the flavours of a typical Argentinian barbecue lunch, with fresh salads and vegetarian options, before we experience the gaucho show where the cowboys show off their incredible horse-riding skills. Also, experience a folkloric show with dancers before heading back to the city and to our hotel.

Day 12 (Buenos Aires At Leisure & Evening Tango Show):

Today is our last day to explore this fascinating city; shop till you drop or uncover yet more of the rich culture and art on offer.

Join us for dinner and an authentic Tango Show! Tonight, we experience the rhythm and flavours of Buenos Aires with a dramatic Tango show as we enjoy the company of newfound friends over dinner on our last night in the city.

Day 13 (Return Home From Buenos Aires):

Today, with fond memories of our unforgettable journey in South America, we say “adios” to Buenos Aires as we transfer to the airport for our homeward flights.
