Discover the splendours of India with us and explore the metropolitan city of Dubai. On this 14-night guided group holiday we’ll experience the very best of this fascinating country and see iconic Indian sites, from the most famous monument to love the Taj Mahal to the enchanting city of Udaipur. During this trip of a lifetime to India, we’ll experience ancient palaces and monuments, proud fortresses, mosques, and bustling cities. We’ll explore the busy streets of Old Delhi on a rickshaw, visit the Amber Fort in the Pink City of Jaipur, and have ample time to discover India at our own pace. As if India wasn’t impressive enough, this holiday included a three day stay in Dubai at the end of our tour, where you can relax and explore the city at your own pace.

Please Note:

  • In order to preserve the beauty and integrity of the iconic monument, the Taj Mahal, cleaning and restoration is ongoing at this site. Some phases of the restoration involves scaffolding and mud treatment, thus a clear view of the entire monument may not be possible.
  • Visas are required for travel on this tour.
  • 2025 – New excursions including afternoon tea overlooking Taj Mahal, and a village safari including a Shikar dinner in Chanwa.
  • 10 nights accommodation in India and 3 nights in Dubai on bed and breakfast basis and 1 or 2 overnight flights.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Fly To Delhi, India):

Depart on your flight to Delhi, for a once in a lifetime holiday to India.

Day 2 (We Have Arrived In Delhi):

Following our arrival in Delhi, we will be transferred with guide assistance to our hotel where we will spend the next two nights.

In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided excursion visiting New Delhi. Discover the 12th Century Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret standing 100 metres tall! This hand carved minaret has withstood the ravages of time for over 1,500 years. After our excursion we return to our hotel in time for dinner.

Dinner is included each night of your stay in India.

Day 3 (Discover The Highlights Of Delhi):

Let’s discover Delhi on a guided excursion taking in the highlights of bustling Old Delhi, beginning with a cycle rickshaw ride through the city. After our cycle ride, we visit Raj Ghat, the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, where you can see an eternal flame burning at the spot of his cremation. From here we go to the Jama Masjid Mosque and visit the Bangla Sikh Temple. There will be time to pick up some souvenirs and local bargains at the bustling and colourful market of Chandni Chowk. Later we visit New Delhi to see Humayun’s Tomb. a beautiful 16th Cnetury building and the tomb of the emperor Humayun. After drive past the India Gate, the president’s residence and an interesting blend of Victorian architecture before returning to our hotel.

After our adventure we enjoy some free time to relax and unwind after a day of uncovering the highlights of Delhi.

Day 4 (Depart Delhi By Coach For Agra & Agra Fort Excursion):

This morning we depart Delhi and transfer by coach to Agra, home to the iconic Taj Mahal! We spend one night in Agra.

Let’s see more as we discover Agra Fort on a guided excursion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest Mughal forts in India. Built in the 11th century, era marked by invasions and battles, this red stone-fortified castle was the site of the India Rebellion of 1857.

The day is not over yet! Let’s unwind and relish a rejuvenating cup of tea with the majestic Taj Mahal as our backdrop as the sun begins to set, casting a glow over this iconic monument. It’s an experience to remember.

Afterwards we return to our hotel and relax fort he evening. Tomorrow, we have an early start!

Day 5 (Fall In Love With The Taj Mahal & Fatehpur Sikri):

This morning we depart early on our guided excursion to witness the sunrise at one of the world’s biggest monuments to love. The morning is an ideal time to photograph this spectacular building when the lighting is at its most dramatic. This famous mausoleum, built by the Mughal emperor Shahn Jahan, in memory of his favourite wife, is a highlight for many visitors to India and it is easy to see why. After we return to our hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast depart Agra for Jaipur the ”Pink City”. Today’s journey is a full day with comfort stops along the way. En-route we uncover the deserted red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri on a guided excursion. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and it served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571-1585.

We arrive in the evening to our hotel where we will spend the next two nights in Jaipur.

Day 6 (Discover Jaipur – The Pink City):

Today we enjoy a full day guided tour of Jaipur – known as the Pink City. We visit the mighty Amber Fort, a spectacular Hindu fort overlooking Lake Maota, before visiting the City Palace Museum, to see the beautiful former seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur.

In the afternoon we see the awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar sundial, and finally Hawa Mahal, also known as the ‘Palace of Winds’.

We return to our hotel and enjoy the rest of our evening at leisure after a day of discovering the splendours of Jaipur one of the gems of India.

Day 7 (Depart Jaipur By Coach For Jodhpur – Luni):

Today, we transfer by coach to the village of Chanwa in Luni, located in the Jodhpur district with breaks along the way.

We have arrived in the village of Luni! For those looking to stretch their legs, we offer an optional leisurely walk through the village of Chanwa. During this walk, we immerse ourselves in the rhythms of everyday life in India, learning about local community and their transitioning as we stroll through the village.

Afterwards, we return to our hotel to unpack and relax for the evening.

Day 8 (Discover The Beauty Of The Blue City Jodhpur):

Today we take a guided tour of Jodhpur, the home of the Rathore rulers of the princely state of Rajasthan. Discover Mehrangarh Fort, an imposing structure sitting on a hill, which has seen in the film The Dark Knight Rises. Our tour will also bring you to Jaswant Thada, a beautiful monument built leisurely out of white marble.

After our morning visit we return to our hotel.

This afternoon let’s get together to experience a safari through the rustic and rural side of Rajasthan. We venture off road to look for wildlife, and birds that the area has to offer. Next, we experience more by visiting the local communities like the Bishniois, Raiputs, Raikas, and Brahmins, and have a chance to interact with them in their villages. The villages are home to local craftsman engaged in their daily lives, like potters, and weavers, etc. We finish our excursion at a picturesque lake side, which will be our dinner venue. We savour a traditional Rajasthan Shikar dinner, in the past this was a celebrated hunting dinner, a fitting way to end our evening.

Day 9 (Transfer To ”Venice Of The East” – Udaipur – Full Day):

Today we transfer by coach to Udaipur also known as the city of the lakes. This beautiful city has been described as the ”Venice of the East” and its centrepiece is the Lake Palace, which sits in the middle of Lake Pichola. En-route to Udaipur there will be a stop in Ranakpur, where we uncover one of the largest and most beautiful Jain temples in India. Today’s journey is a full day and we will spend the next two nights here.

Day 10 ( Let’s See More On A Excursion Of Udaipur):

This morning we take in the beauty of the City Palace Museum on a guided morning excursion and soak up the atmosphere of the spectacular garden of Sahelivon-ki-Bari, which is brimming with lotus ponds, marble elephants, and gushing fountains.

Later in the afternoon we take a leisurely boat cruise on the serene and beautiful Lake Pichola.

Day 11 (Fly From Udaipur Top Delhi):

Today we say farewell to Udaipur and transfer by coach to Udaipur airport, for our internal flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi airport, we transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do some last-minute souvenir shopping, aosking up the atmosphere, or relaxing.

Please Note: Flight tickets will be issued given locally by your guide.

Day 12 (Depart Delhi For Dubai):

We say a fond farewell to our Splendours of India tour and transfer to Delhi Airport with guide assistance for your flight to Dubai.

On arrival in Dubai you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Spend three nights in Dubai on a bed and breakfast basis.

Please Note: Your extension in Dubai will be on an individual basis rather than as part of a group and that guide services are not included for this part of the tour.

Day 13 (Discover Dubai At Leisure):

Discover Dubai at your leisure for the next two full days. Enjoy an independent stay in Dubai, a cosmopolitan city where the traditional and contemporary meet. You could visit Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai’s largest mosque, or Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city. Or you could relax on the beach, or shop till you drop in one of the many Dubai Shopping Malls!

Day 15 (Depart Dubai For Home):

Transfer to Dubai Airport for your flight home.
