Overview
Experience the very best of India on this 11-night solo traveller holiday with visits to iconic sites including the Taj Mahal and the Magical city of Udaipur, which is known as the “Venice of the East.” Our Indian trip will start on Delhi, where we’ll see Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret and later that evening, we’ll get to know our fellow travellers over dinner and a welcome drink. We’ll continue our holiday by exploring ancient palaces and monuments, proud fortresses, mosques, and bustling cities. We’ll take a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi’s vibrant streets and awaken our senses with a kaleidoscope of colour and sound in its buzzing markets. In Arga, we’ll be in awe of the most famous monument to love, the Taj Mahal. We’ll also visit the Amber Fort in the Pink City of Jaipur and, of course, we’ll have plenty of time at leisure to discover India at your own pace or with your fellow travellers. Itinerary
Day 1 (Travel To Delhi India):
Depart on your flights to Delhi, for a once in a lifetime experience to India.
Day 2 (Discover Delhi):
Upon arrival in Delhi you will be met by our local representative before being transferred to your hotel, where we will spend the next two nights in Delhi.
In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided excursion visiting New Delhi. Discover the 12th Century Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret standing 100 metres tall! This hand carved minaret has withstood the ravages of time for over 1,500 years. After our excursions we transfer to our hotel in time for dinner.
Let’s get together and enjoy our first dinner.

Day 3 (Discover The Highlights Of Delhi):
After breakfast, we depart to see all the sights and sounds of bustling Old Delhi, beginning with a cycle rickshaw ride through the city. After your ride, visit Raj Ghat, the memorial sit of Mahatma Gandhi, where you can see an eternal flame burning at the spot of his cremation. From here we go to the Jama Masjid Mosque and visit the Bangla Sikh Temple. There will be time to pick up some souvenirs and local bargains at the bustling and colourful market of Chandni Chowk. Later visit New Delhi to see Hamayun’s Tomb, a beautiful 16th Century building and the tomb of the Emperor Humayun. After drive past the India Gate, the president’s residence and an interesting blend of Victorian architecture. Return to your hotel in the evening, spend a relaxing evening at leisure.
Day 4 (Full Day – Transfer To Arga – Discover Arga Fort):
We say farewell to Delhi and transfer from our hotel to Arga by coach, the journey will take approximately four hours where we will spend the night in Arga.
Let’s see more as we discover Arga Fort on a guided excursion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest Mughal forts in India. Built in the 11th century, era marked by invasions and battles, this red stone-fortified castle was the site of the India Rebellion of 1857. After our tour we take time our and relish a rejuvenating cup of tea with the majestic Taj Mahal as our backdrop as the sun begins to set, casting a low glow over the iconic monument. An experience to savour. Afterward we arrive to our hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Tomorrow we have a very early start!
Day 5 (Visit The Iconic Taj Mahal):
Let’s experience more with a visit the iconic Taj Mahal! Camera’s ready as we are about to witness sunrise at the one of the world’s biggest monuments to love. The morning is an ideal time to photograph this spectacular building when the lighting is at its most dramatic. This famous mausoleum, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his favourite wife, and is a highlight for many visitors to India, it is easy to see why. After we return to our hotel for breakfast.
We depart for the “Pink City” Jaipur. Today’s journey is a full day and will take approximately seven hours with comfort stops on the way. Let’s see more! En-route, our first stop is the deserted red sandstone “Ghost City” of Fatephur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and it served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585, one deserted city is not to be missed, and of the many highlights on this tour.
We arrive in the evening to our hotel in Jaipur, where we will spend the next two nights.
Day 6 (Full Day – Discover Jaipur – The Pink City):
Today we enjoy a full day guided tour of Jaipur – known as the Pink City. We visit the mighty Amber Fort, a spectacular Hindu fort overlooking Lake Maota, before visiting the City Palace Museum, to see the beautiful former seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur.
Day 7 (Transfer To The District Of Jodhpur – Luni By Coach):
This morning we take in the beauty of the City Palace Museum on a guided morning excursion and soak up the atmosphere of the spectacular garden of Saheliyon-ki-Bari, which is brimming with lotus ponds, marble elephants, and gushing fountains.
Later in the afternoon we take a leisurely boat cruise on the serene and beautiful Lake Pichola.
Day 10 (Flight From Udaipur To Delhi):
Today we say farewell to Udaipur and transfer by coach to Udaipur airport for our internal flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi airport, we transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do some last-minute souvenir shopping, soaking up the atmosphere, or relaxing.
Day 11 (Return Home):
Your Splendours of India tour finishes today. Transfer by coach to Delhi Airport for your return flights home.
