Overview

On our holiday to India, we’ll take the Golden Triangle route and experience the exciting cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. On this 14-night holiday, we’ll explore some of the country’s most famed landmarks and architectural marvels. We will visit ancient palaces and monuments, proud fortresses, mosques and bustling cities. Take a rickshaw ride in Old Delhi’s bustling streets and awaken your senses on a kaleidoscope of colour and sound in its buzzing markets. On an excursion to Agra, we will gaze in wonder at the most famous monument to love, the Taj Mahal. We’ll also visit the Amber Fort in the Pink City of Jaipur and, of course, have plenty of leisure time to discover the highlights of India at your own pace. Combining beautiful architecture, delicious food, friendly people and captivating culture, India’s Golden Triangle really does have it all. After our trip of a lifetime in India, you will then enjoy a three-night stay in Dubai, where you can see all the sights or simply relax at your own leisure.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Travel To Delhi, India):

Depart for India on this trip of a lifetime to the Golden Triangle.

Day 2 (We Have Arrived In Delhi):

We have arrived in Delhi! We meet our local representative in the airport and transfer to our hotel in Delhi.

Let’s check in and relax a while.

In the afternoon (pending our flight times this excursion may be the following day) we discover Qutab Minar; a soaring 73m high tower of victory, built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak after the defeat of Delhi’s last Hindu kingdom.

Let’s soak up the atmosphere and enjoy dinner with our fellow travellers.

Evening meals are included every night in India – 8 nights in your hotel, 1-night cooking demonstration in Jaipur with dinner included and 3 lunches

Day 3 (Old Delhi & Transfer for Jaipur “Pink City”):

After breakfast we discover the sights and sounds of bustling Old Delhi, beginning with a cycle rickshaw ride through the busy and colourful market of Chandni Chowk. Next, we drive past the 17th Century Red Fort and then visit Raj Ghat. This is the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, where you can see an eternal flame burning at the spot of his cremation. From here we venture past the Jama Masjid Mosque (viewed from the outside) and visit the Bangla Sikh Temple.  After we drive past the British era bungalows, government offices, Presidential Palace and India Gate,  and ending the city tour with a visit to the beautiful Humayun’s tomb, which is often said to be the inspiration for the Taj Mahal.

After our Delhi highlights tour we make our way by coach to the “Pink City” of Jaipur. The transfer will take six and a half hours approximately (270km) with some comfort stops along the way.

We spend the next three nights in Jaipur.

Day 4 (Uncover Jaipur & Experience Amber Fort & Village):

Discover the splendour of Jaipur on our full-day tour! On our tour we uncover history and fall in love with the enchanting Amber Fort, perched atop a hill with breath taking views of Maota Lake. We take in the intricate Rajput architecture, which is beautifully reflected in the shimmering waters below.

We savor the flavors of Jaipur with  lunch at a local restaurant. Then, take a leisurely walking tour through the charming village of Amber, where the vibrant local culture comes to life. Engage with friendly locals and soak in the unique atmosphere of this historic destination.

After our day of exploring we return to our hotel and unwind for the rest of the evening.

Day 5 (Discover Jaipur & Cooking Demonstration):

Embark on a delightful morning adventure in Jaipur! We explore the enchanting City Palace, once the Maharaja’s residence, part of the palace is still used by the Royal family, and now a fascinating museum. Witness the grandeur of the Armoury Museum, with blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, daggers and more.

Marvel at the awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar, the world’s largest stone observatory, featuring an impressive sundial. After we drive past the iconic Hawa Mahal, or the ‘Palace of Winds’ offering a good photo opportunity. To add a touch of local charm, enjoy a lively cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling bazaars of Old Jaipur town. Join us for a morning filled with history, culture, and the jewels of Jaipur!

Later in the evening we embark on a flavourful evening adventure, as we go to a local family for a cookery demonstration. Delve into the art of making local Indian dishes and bread making. Following the engaging session, relish a delightful dinner, savouring the local flavours. Join us for an evening filled with culinary exploration and shared moments around the table.

Day 6 (Transfer By Coach To Ranthambore):

This morning we depart Jaipur and embark on a scenic journey to Ranthambore today, with the drive lasting approximately four and a half hours, covering 175 kilometers. We enjoy brief breaks along the way to stretch your legs before arriving to our destination of Ranthambore.

Let’s check in and enjoy some lunch. We make the most of our leisurely afternoon, soaking up our surroundings.

Make sure to charge up the camera and polish off the binoculars in anticipation for tomorrow’s game drive experience.

Day 7 (Experience Ranthambore National Park – Tiger Safari):

Embark on an exciting adventure as we explore Ranthambore National Park today in pursuit of the elusive Indian Bengal Tiger, the true king of the jungle. Formerly the hunting grounds of Jaipur’s Maharajas, Ranthambore has now transformed into one of India’s major wildlife tourist attractions, and  recognisable from many National Geographic documentaries. As we drive through the sanctuary, keep your eyes peeled for free-roaming wildlife that can be hiding in the reserve, including Chital (Indian deer), Wild Boar, Peafowl, and Langur (monkey). With luck on your side, you might even catch a glimpse of a Sloth bear and the mighty tiger. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of this captivating park, a testament to the enchanting wonders of wildlife.

This afternoon presents another opportunity to look for the elusive Tiger if you have not yet spotted one in the captivating Ranthambore National Park. Following your wildlife adventure, the evening is yours to unwind and soak up the atmosphere.

Day 8 (Transfer To Agra & Uncover Fatepur Sikri):

We begin our day with a coach transfer to Agra, a journey of approximately six and a half hours. En route, we explore the abandoned red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri on a guided tour. This city a creation of Emperor Akbar often dubbed as the “city of brightness.” Immerse yourself in the historical allure of this fascinating site before continuing on our journey to Agra.

Let’s get settled in to our hotel in the evening and rest after today’s journey to Agra. Tomorrow will be an early start to see the world-famous Taj Mahal.

Day 9 (Experience Sunrise At Taj Mahal & Agra Tour):

Let’s see more with an early morning journey to witness the iconic symbol of love, the “Taj Mahal.” Arriving just around sunrise, capture stunning photos of this timeless monument and one of India’s most iconic images!

Following this enchanting experience, we  return to our hotel for breakfast. Next, we delve into a guided tour of the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India’s premier Mughal forts. Dating back to the 11th century, this red stone-fortified castle holds historical significance, having witnessed the events of invasions, battles, and the India Rebellion of 1857.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Whether you opt to delve deeper into Agra’s attractions, indulge in some final souvenir shopping to capture the essence of India, or simply unwind at your hotel, savour this leisurely time as you wish.

Day 10 (Transfer By Coach To Delhi):

You will have a guided coach transfer to your hotel in Delhi, the drive will take approximately five hours (230km) to arrive in Delhi, for your final night in India.

We say farewell to Agra and transfer to our hotel in Delhi, with an approximately five-hour drive covering 230 kilometres. This journey brings you to us to our final night in India.

Day 11 (Fly From Delhi To Dubai):

We say farewell to our newfound friends and fond memories of our journey in the Golden Triangle of India. We transfer to Delhi airport for our flight to Dubai.

On arrival in Dubai you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Spend the next three nights in Dubai on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 12 (Experience Dubai At Your Leisure):

The next two full days, are at leisure to fully discover Dubai at your own pace. Enjoy an independent stay in Dubai, a cosmopolitan city where the traditional and contemporary meet. You could visit Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai’s largest mosque, or Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city. Relax on the beach, or shop till you drop in one of the many Shopping Malls Dubai has to offer!

Day 13 (Fly From Dubai To Home):

Transfer to Dubai Airport for your flight home.
